Luis Goya ventured into the international transport activity at Transportación Marítima Mexicana (TMM), the largest shipping company in México at that time, where he collaborated from 1970 to 1994, becoming COO.

In 1996, he founded his own shipping agency, Agencia Marítima Internacional (AMI).

In 2004, the Chilean shipping company, Compañía Sudamericana de Vapores (CSAV), invited him as partner to establish its offices in Mexico, CSAV Mexico. This partnership lasted until 2006.

In 2007, he partnered with TMM to create TMM Global Logistics. That year, he appeared on the cover of T21, the main logistics magazine in Mexico.

In 2009, he founded Optima Global Logistics, which has been successfully operating since that year.
